NAIAS 2015: Focus on fuel-reduction components
The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is being held at the COBO Center, Detroit, Michigan, from January 12 to 25, 2015. KSPG AG, a German first-tier supplier with subsidiaries in the USA and Mexico, is displaying in room 353 components and assemblies for cars, light- and medium-duty commercial vehicles.

Joint venture between KSPG and HASCO - Venture now legally finalized
Following the signing of the agreement in July 2014 with HUAYU Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. (HASCO), majority owned by China's SAIC Group, the relevant cartel authorities have meanwhile given their go-ahead for KS Aluminium-Technologie GmbH's joint venture. As a consequence, the agreement was now closed with the transaction taking effect under contractual law.

75 millionth EGR valve from the Basque Country
The 75 millionth exhaust-gas recirculating valve (EGR) has now exited the assembly line at Pierburg S.A. in Spain's Basque Country. Pierburg GmbH's Spanish plant ranks as the lead facility for such valves and since 1994 annually has turned out an average of around five million units destined for gasoline and diesel engines.

Successful production startup at new Pierburg plant
Following a core construction period of only about 12 months Pierburg GmbH was able to move into its new Lower Rhine plant located on the harbor pier in downtown Neuss as early as the spring of this year. Altogether €50 million has been invested in the new facility. In line with a detailed agenda, since then and step by step production plant and equipment have been moved from the two previous sites in Neuss and Nettetal to be set up at the Lower Rhine plant.

The IAA Commercial Vehicles is being held in Hannover from September 25 to October 2. In hall 16, stand C 14, KSPG AG is displaying newly developed and innovative components for commercial vehicle engines.

At SMM with large-bore pistons and plain bearings
The maritime trade fair SMM will be held in Hamburg from September 9 to 12. This is the 26th time that KS Kolbenschmidt GmbH will be attending and in hall A4, on stand 202, displaying pistons in various designs for the international large-engine market. Piston diameters range from 160 to 640 mm. In the same hall, on stand 222, the affiliate KS Gleitlager GmbH is showcasing high-duty plain bearings for marine and farming engines.
