Clean&Lean – Lean&Clean: You can turn it and twist it, but the sustainability issue is always about the environment. Which, as a globally operating company, we naturally always keep in view. You can actually take that literally, as our environment protection starts right in front of our doorstep. Our buildings are constructed sustainably and save energy due to modern facilities. Furthermore, we make sure to create production processes as emission-free as technically possible, to utilise materials economically, and to strictly adhere to the international regulations for environment protection.

Economic steering

To us, sustainable economising means first and foremost: to assume responsibility. We do so by establishing Rheinmetall Automotive as a competitive company, by generating profits and by creating an environment which favours growth. Quality plays an important role in this; it is continually monitored and aligned with the international standards. However, quality alone does not ensure growth. That is why we gradually increased our budget for research and development over the past years. In 2011, 130 million euros were invested in this department. It is the only way to permanently secure the future of Rheinmetall Automotive.

Social actions

This number speaks for itself – and for Rheinmetall Automotive: 14 years is the average period of employment – way beyond the German average.
